Competition Rules
-
Competition is open to all. Each participant
should be a paid member of MMBA for 2010.
(Membership is for the calendar year)
-
Competition is for individual performer for the
vocal categories. Classical Instrumental has two
categories - Individual, and Group.
-
Each
participant will have to perform within the
stipulated time. Exceeding the time limit will
result in deduction of points, in proportion of
the exceeded time. There is no minimum time,
however presenting for significantly shorter
time than allocated time may not enable the
participant to demonstrate his/her abilities. We
recommend that the participant take enough time
to demonstrate the talent, but stay within
maximum allocated time.
-
Participants must arrange for any accompaniment,
if needed.
-
Tuning
of musical instruments must be done in advance.
No time will be given for tuning the instruments
at the time of performance.
-
All
participants must appear in person for the
performance. Pre-recorded audio/video tapes will
not be accepted.
-
All
participants should present themselves at least
half an hour before the scheduled performance
time.
-
Preliminary round and Finals will be judged by a
panel of judges. Their decision will be final
and binding on MMBA and the participants.
-
MMBA may
stop accepting new entries at an earlier date if
enough entries are received or we reserve our
right to accept entry at the later date.
Thank you and we look forward to seeing you in the
ChaitraDhun 2010 event.
